Like You -Part Two-

Looking up into the vast expansion of stars, the young girl with dark brown hair blinked her storm grey eyes and sighed contently. The night was cool and beautiful. Nothing could be out of place.

Until her ears caught a rustle in the bushes.

Spinning around she was just in time to yelp in surprise as a figure tackled her into the ground, holding one arm in a death-grip and sitting firmly on the other.

"I found you Moonlight!" the girl that had trapped her stated triumphantly. Moonlight rolled her eyes.

"Yes yes, you found me, my dear Mini PH."

Mini PH smirked before she got off her lover, holding a hand out to help her up. The moon warrior took it and the both of them stood up, gazing at the starry sky.

"I have to go back soon." The hybrid said quietly and Moonlight looked at her for a moment before gently kissing her forehead.

"I know, my dear. Let's just enjoy our time together."

Mini PH nodded. In truth, she wished her lover could live with her in Silent Hill. She could protect her from the evil spirits and monsters. She had never told her about the cult but she knew they would never leave their rat nest to attack her. But she knew Moonlight would not be happy living in a place like that.

Plus, Dark Alessa would have a fit if she knew an untainted soul was living in that town. Not that Mini PH minded. Annoying her mother's doppelganger greatly amused her to no end.

That was until said doppelganger would angrily chase her.

Mini PH broke out of her train of though as she saw a shadowy figure walk behind Moonlight and sit against the huge willow tree a few yards away.

"Stay here." The monster ordered quietly, her knife appearing in her had. Moonlight's eyes narrowed as she watched her lover approach the figure. The tense silence last only a few moments before Mini PH jumped the shadowed being. The person was of course surprised but it diminished as the figure fought back just as much to get Mini PH down.

Moonlight's eyes widened as the figure finally managed to pin the hybrid down, both their knees locking the girl's arms at her sides. Raising a hand, the moon warrior saw sharpened back claws shining in the moonlight, ready to slash across her lover's trapped form.

Wait, black claws?

"Solar!" Moonlight cried out and the figure stopped, looking around. That gave Mini PH the advantage and she grabbed the figure's shoulder's, spinning around until she was now straddling the figure, holding her knife threateningly.

"No Mini PH! Wait a second!" Moonlight protested, running up to them. The hybrid looked at the moon warrior with question.

"What are you stopping me for? She was trying to kill me!" Mini PH growled out, obviously still a little rattled.

"You attacked me, what was I suppose to do?" Solar challenged, squirming around, trying to dislodge the monster.

"It's ok Mini, I know her. Let her up." Moonlight said. When the hybrid just glared up at her, Moonlight glared back, her eyes narrowed. Mini PH finally just sighed angrily and stood up, letting Moonlight grab Solar by the arm and pull her up.

"What are you doing here Solar?" the moon warrior asked, keeping a warily eye on her lover.

"None of your business Moonlight." Solar snapped, her eye narrowed and filled with anger. Mini PH growled and stepped forward but Moonlight put one arm up to bar her love to stop.

"Yes it is. We called a truce remember? We are friends now."

Solar snorted. "You would really forgive me that easily? Even after everything I did to you?" she sun warrior asked.

Moonlight blinked. "After what Moonwatcher did to you, I would say we are pretty even. At least I got what I lost back,"

Solar's eye wavered at the mention of Moonlight's brother. "It would be easier if I still loved him." She murmured, mostly to herself.

Moonlight raised an eyebrow. "What? What's wrong Solar? Where's Clara?"

"Why should I care?!" Solar snapped, her eye once again angry and cold, her body shaking slightly.

"You should care because she loves you!" Moonlight snapped right back.

"No she doesn't." Solar said, voice growing quiet. Moonlight was taken aback by the change in Solar's voice. Even Mini PH raised an eyebrow at the change.

"She told me she hated me." The sun warrior said, trying her very best not to quiver at the words.

Moonlight's eyes widened. "What? No she doesn't Solar! I know her! She loves you so much! Every time I see her she tells me how much she loves you."

"Not anymore Moonlight. She doesn't want me around anymore." Solar said, facing Moonlight again. The moon warrior now noticed that Solar's crimson eye was red from crying and it was full of hurt and sadness.

"Did she say that?" Moonlight asked quietly.

"She said she hated me, that she didn't need me around and she could live without me." The sun warrior repeated Clara's words in a bitter tone.

"I'm pretty sure if she loved you, she wouldn't say something like that." Mini PH piped in.

"Who asked you anyways?" Solar snapped. Mini PH was shocked for a moment before she narrowed her eyes and growled angrily. The sun warrior sniffed before she turned to Moonlight. "Thank you so very much Moonlight, but I must be going now."

"You're worried about her." Moonlight stated simply, making Solar whirl around.

"No I'm not. If she wants to be by herself and without me, I'm not stopping her." The sun warrior said.

"You want to protect her."

"She doesn't want me there! I'm not going back to…"

"Stop it Solar! You love her and you know you do! Why can't you just go and tell her that…"

"BECAUES SHE DOESN'T WANT PROTECTION!" Solar shouted, losing her usual cool.

Moonlight's eyes widened, Mini PH flinching slightly.

Solar wiped her eye angrily. "She thinks she's weak and…she wants to be able to prove she can defend herself without me…" she sun warrior trailed off.

Moonlight, sensing Solar's distress, slowly made her way over. After she was only a few inches away, she gently wrapped an arm around Solar and pulled her into a one-armed hug. Right away, the sun warrior grabbed Moonlight pressing her face into the moon warrior's chest. Moonlight, startled that it was Solar she was holding in her arms, gently rubbed her hand up and down the sun warrior's back.

"It's alright Solar. It's ok." She said gently.

"She's doesn't understand!" Solar whimpered, Moonlight shushing her softly. "She thinks I like seeing her like that! I want her to be strong!"

Mini PH's eyes were wide as she watched her lover comfort the salmon-haired girl. Letting her knife vanish, she walked over until she was beside them, watching.

"She doesn't need me but I need her! I need to know she's ok!" Solar cried her voice heavy with tears. Moonlight continued the gentle shushing and sweet nothings, brushing Solar's hair out of her tear-stained face.

As she did, she brushed the bangs covering Solar's left eye, revealing the swollen and red flesh around the eye. Mini PH jumped back in surprise. She had never heard of this before. Moonlight flashed her warning glance and the hybrid stayed silent.

"Solar, its ok. Me and Mini will go back with you to find her and fix this whole mess." Moonlight promised, rolling her eyes at Mini PH's expression.

"Me…and you?" Mini PH asked. Moonlight glared at her. "Yes. We are going to help." The hybrid narrowed her eyes and huffed.

"No Moonlight. This is my fault." Solar said wiping her eyes again, being carful around her left eye.

"That may be true but that doesn't mean we can't help you make it right." Moonlight said, pushing the sun warrior back.

Solar sniffed. She remembered Clara calling out for her after she walked away. She was so angry and hurt at the time, she didn't care.

Clara needed her and she knew it.


The brunette was curled on her bed. She hadn't moved since she got home and didn't plan on it. Solar leaving her tore at the tender part of her heart that held the love for the salmon-haired girl.

Her aqua eyes stared blankly off into space, burning an imaginary hole through the wall in front of her.

She wanted her Solar back. She wanted to cuddle with her when it was cold, snuggle when it was raining and sleep soundly knowing her protector was right beside her.

She had ruined all of that. She had hurt Solar and the sun warrior would never forgive her. The pain on her face was fresh in Clara's mind, making the brunette whimper and bury her face in the sheets.

"I love you Solar." She whispered, voice laced with regret. Tears continued to pour from her eyes, even as sleep washed over her like a black wave.
